My goals for 2019

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Just wanted to write a quick post about my goals for 2019. I'm putting this out there so I don't ever get tempted to give up!

As you are already aware, this year I will be sponsoring 4 fabulous horses and riders-Freya, Emily, Emily and Emilie (no, I didn't pick them because they all had the same name!) and I'm super excited to work with them throughout 2019.

As for me, I'm going to work my socks off this year and make this business something really special!

So here are my goals and aspirations to keep me busy and motivated for the next 12 months:

1. Get 10k followers on Instagram

I've let my Insta game slip over the past few months what with one thing or another, but I'm back in the swing of it now and I need a wider reach. All of my followers I've got are 'natural' , I haven't got any robots following me, and they are hopefully genuinely interested in what I do and that's great, but I want more! I really do believe that Instagram has overtaken Facebook and is the way forward!

2. Get published in a top magazine

My work has already been published in The Pony Club Magazine and Southern Horse, but I'd love to get a feature in Horse & Hound or similar

3. Get Press Accreditation for an international horse show

I'm thinking Olympia, HOYS and the Event Rider Masters Series. If I could get at least one of these I'd be over the moon!

4. Shoot for a well known equine brand

I would love to do a commercial shoot for a well known brand such as Pikeur, Ariat, Dubarry or HorseWare. There are so many brands out there I need to contact! I've got my work cut out.

5. Write more blog posts

I absolutely love reading other people's blogs, particularly country lifestyle and photography ones! I spend hours scrolling through Instagram stories too! I will do a separate post about who I follow (and am slightly obsessed with) on Instagram another time. I've always wanted to write my own and get really into it, creative writing was my forte at primary school, but I'm instantly put off because I worry too much about whether or not anyone would read what I have to say and enjoy reading it. But you know what? I'm just going to type away regardless and if people read it then great, and if not it's no biggie!

So there we have it! I think all of these goals are achievable as long as I put my mind to it and I've got just under 365 days to do it! I'll keep you posted!
